To enrich the social community of the developmentally disabled.

In late 2020, the Rev. Deacon Brian Warner organized a planning committee made up of representatives from four companies in the central Louisiana area that provide residential and community home services to developmentally disabled clients.  It was Brian’s hope and brainchild that this group would “open the doors” between their facilities allowing residences to intermingle, to enrich the social community between these facilities and to develop friendships outside their immediate community or home setting.

Through the Episcopal Diocese of Western Louisiana’s generous funding, each facility chooses events that they would like to host.  These events always involve an ecumenical worship service involving praise music and led by our rector or deacon.

This special group of people have enjoyed building a community through movie nights, spring dances, game night, Halloween dances and much more.  This wonderful ministry continues to grow with seventy to ninety in attendance.  In 2023, an additional facility was added and work is ongoing to welcome clients from family homes and supervised apartments.
